Suffolk Horse WeekendSuffolk Horse Weekend with a bit of Punch!
28th-29th August 2011

If you’re at a loose end this bank holiday, why not visit Lanwades Park for a fantastic Suffolk Horse weekend? There will be horse and cart rides, pulled by the magnificent Suffolk Punches themselves, demonstrations, and a chance to meet Pride, a beautiful Suffolk horse, and her foal Max. There are also walks around the grounds and gardens of Lanwades Park to explore, a gift shop and the Stable Yard Coffee Shop, where you can buy delicious homemade cakes, scones, lunches and coffees.

Lanwades Park is home of the Animal Health Trust (AHT), who have been involved with the Suffolk Horse Society in order to develop a sustainable breeding programme to save the wonderful horse from extinction. Dr Sarah Blott of the AHT will be on hand over the weekend to answer any questions about the project and tell you what you can do to help.

The Suffolk Horse event will be happening on Sunday 28th – Monday 29th August from 10am – 4pm. Entry to Lanwades Park is free and dogs are welcome.
