The terrace and sunken garden
The ‘secret’ Sunken Garden at Lanwades Hall is a real gem.
The terrace and sunken garden maintain the characteristics of the Tudor period with the terrace protected by a stone balustrade with twin flights of stone steps leading down to the delightful sunken garden. With flag stone paths leading around the garden to the brick pillared pergola at the opposite end.
From here doors either lead out to stone steps leading to the old tennis court or on to other parts of the grounds of Lanwades.
